About Skip Henry

When I began work on Skip Henry Studio in 2018, Henry—my beloved dog—was by my side every step of the way. Through every long night, every setback, and every quiet triumph, he was there: steady, joyful, and endlessly patient. He was more than just company; he was my anchor, my cheerleader, my handsome boy. Saying goodbye to him in October 2023 was one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do. But his spirit lives on in the name of this studio, and in every brushstroke I make. Henry taught me to meet the world with kindness, to look beyond the surface, and to always find the human (or canine) heart in every story. These lessons guide my work to this day.

 

My hope is that my work invites you to see the world through a different lens—one that gently reminds us of the heart we all share. I believe the arts, in all their forms, have a unique power to break through boundaries and speak to something deeper within us.
