People always ask, “Why did you start painting?” The short answer: change happens. The slightly longer answer: I realized I had things to say, and watercolor seemed like a classy way to say them without yelling into the void. Plus, it’s cheaper than therapy (mostly).
Skip Henry Studio is just me, trying to turn strange daydreams into something you’d want to hang on your wall. I paint because it makes me feel alive and because I like watching people squint at a painting and say, “Wait… is this cactus floating?” Yes, yes it is. And it’s doing great.
